Up to $1000 Rebate for Attic Insulation
Ontario Environment saving (“Program Administrators”) and FreeAttic are jointly delivering Insulation rebate program.
-Every building type (including residential House, commercial building, office building) in Ontario is eligible for the rebate
-No second upgrade is needed to be eligible
– No Energy audit assessment is necessary.
-The rebate incentive will be issued before customer’s upgrade. So, Homeowners will receive their rebate immediately after completion of the upgrade (at the same time of their payment). No need to wait to receive the rebate or wait for approval.
Under the Program Stream, each Participant will be eligible to receive a financial rebate ("Rebate") for upgrading the attic insulation (“Qualified Measure") at the Participant's property up to $1,000.

Eligibility:
This Program Stream is available for the following types of Structures:
a) single detached and semi-detached residential homes;
b) row homes; townhomes, stacked townhomes;
c) new build homes (Homes under construction), Major renovations, or additions;
d) Multi-unit residential buildings (“MURBs”): including low-rise apartment buildings, triplexes, duplexes, homes with a secondary suite.
e) commercial building, office building
Note: new construction is eligible for the rebate.
Eligibility criteria for a Rebate:
a) Insulate 100% of the total upgradable area.
b) You must increase the insulation value (Nominal R-value) as per the table below.
c) If the roof assembly contains pre-existing insulation at the time of the in-home visit, then any additional insulation must be added to the same location as the pre-existing insulation to be eligible for a Rebate. For example, if the attic floor contained pre-existing insulation at the time of the in-home visit, then the new insulation must be added to the attic floor; or if the attic ceiling contained pre-existing insulation at the time of the in-home visit, then the new insulation must be added to the attic ceiling.
